I have no idea how hard aluminum is to work with but I'll bet these are more labor intensive than you might think.

I have purchased aluminum blanks from a shop on Etsy that were thinner. The shop was great to work with! It just so happens that they do sell blank aluminum cuffs as well. The only problem is that this listing is for 48!! I bet they'd do a smaller listing if you asked: http://www.etsy.com/listing/59441038...-aluminum-cuff

you can buy the aluminum blanks pretty inexpensively (less than $1 each!)
These are great. Much better than trying to cut and bend the aluminum yourself, lol

$40 does seem like an awful lot, but I noticed she's using a TON of rhinestones on each design. If they're actual Swarovski rhinestones, and she's using nice fabric, that could be a reason for the high cost, perhaps? Still...I'd think $15 or even $20 seems much more reasonable!
Maybe but I think she is using an old repurposed tie, lol
but hey if she can get $40, more power to her

The other day I was looking for other embroidered things and found the very same thing, cuff bracelets, however, they did them up a bit different. I could so see them embroidered too!

Did anyone ever try any of these? Or figure out the best way to get the fabric to stick to the aluminum cuff without peeling off or showing through????? I have a bunch, now would like to start some for a show on the 17th!

Making certain it is shaped first, I glue a thin felt or fleece around the aluminum and then wrap bias cut fabric around the whole bracelet. hth! Hope your show goes great!

Thanks for the well-wishes! I actually made one today and it turned out GREAT! I am taking it to my high school students on Monday for their approval and opinions!

This does sound like a cute idea for those last minute gifts. Maybe a set decorated for different holidays...
