The way I use it is to cut off a piece of marabou about 2" long or so (depending on how big the bow is I am making). Then form it into a circle, putting the ends together. I either glue or sew the ends together, depending on how much I have been fighting with my glue gun that day. I then usually the circle of marabou in my stacked bows - I glue it on top of my spike layer which is underneath my top bow. I have also used it on mini top hats. HTH!

I've only used marabou once but this is the technique I used and it worked out well.

I've only made a couple with marabou, but I taped around the ends that I was cutting to avoid flying feathers, cut the middle of the tape, shaped into a circle and glued. I did one that I glued under the top bow and one I glued under the spikes and the base bow... all depends on the look you're going for

I don't think there is a "right" way to use it.
Its just a matter of preference and the look you are going for.
