Default Help Please

Hey all I am hoping you can help me. My cousin has asked me to make a headband or other hair accessory for her daughters Halloween costume, she is going as Tiana from Princess and The Frog. I am still pretty new here but I have already been helped greatly by you ladies, so I hope you can help me again!

TIA

well, you could use some stabilizer stitched to fabric for the crown and stitch on ties - then she can just tie it around her head

I'm almost thinking you could do something with a tropical lily and a headband.

From what I've seen, Princess Tiana's tiara is more organic than the usual Disney princess tiara:

The decorative detail seems to be made from leaves in a soft pastel green. I would almost suggest cutting, shaping and heat sealing grosgrain ribbon into leaves and then gluing them to a stiff head band.

Good luck,

Kel

Although it may be hard to find grosgrain ribbon that's wide enough. I suppose you could try using fabric but even if you could stiffen it I don't know if you could heat seal the edges.

Great idea. And to dress it up you could add a lily next to the leaves!

That would make it a little girlier.
