Welcome! Different people use different items. I use the round furniture pads you put on the bottom of chair legs to keep from scraping the floor... I buy mine at Wal-mart. I think some people use some sort of wooden disks and other folks fill the cap with got glue. I tried filling with glue once, but some of the caps popped right off the glue.

HTH and good luck!

for bows I use foam circles you can purchase at Michaels or any craft store, for the flowers after taking apart and relayering I reglue the jewels on them then e6000 the cap to the jewel lol seems like a waste but I usually throw out the jewels from the gerbers I buy anyway so a way to recycle lol... I do the same for fabric flowers hope this helps as well... the post above is right everyone has their own methods....this one is what I do...goodluck!

many thing work but for me the best is glueing the back part of a #45 cover button inside the bottlecap...these back parts have a shank where you pull your ribbon thru and then just tie your bow as you would normally do when using a ribbon knotted center
I just opened a GB for these buttons and you can order just the back parts of #45...tomorrow I will post pictures of it so you get the idea
and the Gb is here

I just use a lot of hot glue, put about a nickel sized amound in the center on the cap and pile it until its about the the top of the cap stick it on the bow and let it dry. If the cap has a liner in it once it is dry I peel the cap off (comes off easily) and put a glob (no exact science here) of E6000 on top of the hot glue and replace the cap and let dry.

I've done foam and other things and it just doesn't make sense for me to use them and spend more money unless it is going to be used on a clippie but I just use flattened caps on clippies now.

For bows I don't usually anything extra, I just make sure I use a decent sized center knot. I put hot glue in the center and E6000 around it, then attach the cap. If I am putting it on something flat, then I buy some of the inch wooden disks. Eventhough they are 1 inch they fit inside of the cap perfectly.

I fill it wth hot glue and kind of squich the flower up into the cap. Hope that makes sense. I haven't ever had any problems. Knock on wood.
