I don't glue, I sew the layers together...and use my own center.

I also so sew my layers together

I take off everything except the stem. The stem holds the layers nicely together until I can sorta stabilize it with my first stitch. After the first pull-through, I take off the stem, then make 5-6 stitches, like a star. Knot it off in the back.

Then back it with felt, and attach to clip/headband.

I hate glue, and I figured that it would take me just as long to glue as it would to sew, and sewing is way less messier

I've also learned that going forward, I only want to buy flowers with no glue. I can never get it clean enough when I have to "unglue".

Wow you all have some amazing ideas. I would have never thought of the freezer idea.

I did do a few today using the very first persons tips, it turned out pretty well and once I got over being worried I would mess it up it was really fun taking them apart, mixing and matching and adding my own designs to it. But I did realize in the process...I HAVE GOT TO GO SHOPPING. haha. I really need some centers big enough.

all my buttons and things were too small.

Except for the jumbo mums which i thought was a lot of fun, I had dragonfly which I personally thought looked really pretty, i would wear it! I was going to try to show you all a picture but I guess because I am new it will not let me?
