Talking How did you learn to make Bows?

So everyone I have been making bows for a LONGG time. But, most people just start because It was a hobby, And turns it into a business. But, I had practice!!(; People wanna start with making a BIG pretty bow But you have to start somewhere right? I started becuase I worked at a flower shop! Making bows to put around the vases nothing big but not to small. Just right! I liked making bows and so I turned it into a business a few years later! Thats how I started to make bows! How did you learn how to make bows? Did It start as a hobby for you?

I started as a hobby, because I have 3 girls and buying bows for each of them became expensive. During the hobby phase everyone kept telling me to start selling them and it took off from there. This all happen within a 6 month time frame.

I decided to learn after I saw some Korkers in a resale shop, but couldn't afford to pay the 15$ they were charging for them. Came home did a little research, and it just blossomed from there.......

Mine started as a hobby as well. I started making bows for my DD in 2004. I made them for only her at first, but had so much fun I started selling on ebay. I sold on ebay for a few years before finally switching to etsy. After all these years, I still LOVE making bows!!!!

I started making them for my two girls and it started from there. Friends and family saw the stuff and I gradually began to sell it.

I love making items and making hairbows just seemed like the natural progression in what was next on my things to make. I don't actually remember when I started making haribows, but about 15 years ago I was asked to make the flowers and decorations for a wedding and I know I made alot of bows at that time. I was obsessed with making them perfect. I've always re-tied bows on the back of all the dresses for every little girl I've known. I only had boys so it was a little more then difficult to tie any bows for them, so I set the goal to raise good sons so I could have awesome daughters-in-law and hope they would bless me with granddaughters. Well, my plan worked and now I have two granddaughters (under age 2). One of the first words out of Little Miss Bella Ray's mouth was "Bows". I'm still working on our Precious Emma's first words.

I started once I had my dd in 2005 and went from there. Even though I have a website, it's still a hobby as I donr' make many sales but I love it so much I refuse to give it up.

It started as a hobby for me since I had 2 girls and didn't want to fork out money for boutique bows. Soon I had 100 rolls of ribbon and friends begging me to do "bow parties". Somehow from there, it exploded into a business.
