Default How to use Heat n Bond Hem on grosgrain ribbon

Hi all,
I'm a new member and I'm not very familiar with the forums yet, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place. If not, I apologize.

So I was asked to make our cheerleading teams cheer bows this year since I am the only parent with bow knowledge. I've never made a layered cheer bow though, so I'm having a hard time. I'm using Heat 'n Bond Lite in the rolls to fuse the first/second layer, but it was out of stock in the size I needed for the second/third layer at the store. I got Heat 'n Bond Hem (roll) instead.

It doesn't have a paper backing, and I'm at a loss for how to use it. ANY help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
- Heather

I recently just finished a bunch of cheer bows for the first time myself, and you just lay it between the layers and iron. I had 2 1/4 white and layed a strip of hem tape down put a 1 1/2 green over it and ironed. then I used 2 strips of glitter ribbon on the edges of the green and used the hem tape underneath and ironed. It does hold the ribbon really well, but the glitter ribbon seemed to thick for it, but it held good on almost 40 of them and the last 10 I had to touch up later in a few places where it didn't quite get "fused"

HTH

You can buy the rolls or by the yard and then cut it to what ever length and width you need. I have never used the hem type, so I don't have any advice on that.
