Default Fuller Korkers

How do you make fuller looking korkers? I am having trouble with this. I've seen ones like these http://www.etsy.com/listing/78716159...ref=v1_other_1 on etsy. Mine tend to look like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/78249703...pink-and-light. Please help!

This is what mine look like. Mine are made from 1/8" ribbon with 36 pieces. You need to add lots of pieces to give them that snowball look!

Maybe that is why mine don't look to full. I've been using the 5/8 ribbon. I have a few colors of the 1/8 that I've found at local stores. Where do you find yours? Is there a good online store that has them with many color options? Also, when you cut the pieces what size do you cut them to?
