Default surrounding loops with print ribbon

Do you use surrounding loops with printed ribbon or not? I usually use 7/8 in ribbon and then surround with 1/4 in ribbon but then you can't see the print.

thanks!!

I use 3/8 printed ribbon all the time. I think it's really cute and helps tie the color and theme of the bow together

I use 3/8 printed ribbon for surrounds a lot. Sometimes if I'm using 7/8 printed ribbon, I will use two surrounds, the first (the one that surrounds the 7/8 bow) I usually do a solid, then the next one I do a print. Did that even make sense? LOL!

Sometimes I will add 1/2" to my surrounds, so they don't hug quite so tight and hide the print on the bow.....

I use 3/8'' as well...like pp said if you want to bow's print to show more, don't hug the bow so tight. I use solids and prints for surrounds. It doesn't bother me though, and I hug mine tight to the bow.

I have never used printed ribbon for surronds either. I feel like I am wasting the printed ribbon due to it not being seen.

Printed ribbon surrounds will not block out your twisted center any more than solid surrounds would. It's all about ribbon length. Tweak your bow formula to make sure your center can be seen if you like

i don't use printed surrounds i use printed main bow. i am thinking i worded something wrong.

my main bow is 7/8 in ribbon and i always use solids in 1/4 in for that size for the surrounds. when i do that the print from the 7/8 main bow gets covered/
