Default Cheer Bows ?????

I bought some spandex that seems to be a little thicker than other stuff I have used. I used heat and bond and I'm having a hard time with it all fusing together. It's almost like there isn't any heat and bond on some sections. Any ideas?

Andrea

make sure your temperature is correct on your iron. Are you fusing the heat and bond to the spandex first or to the ribbon?

I do it this way, first HNB adheres to the spandex first, I cut my HNB into a large sheet and fuse onto the back of the spandex. Then I cut it into strips. The fuse the strips to the ribbon. I will iron both sides, the spandex side as well as the ribbon side. The other option is using the HNB Vinyl to fuse onto the spandex.

Are you ironing on top of the material or from the ribbon side up with material on the bottom?

the best hold I have found is iron from the top of the material...making sure to use high heat, and using a thin damp fabric to protect it from the direct iron.

That is exactly what I do. If the fabric is thicker, you may need to crank up the heat or amount of time you are pressing it.

I adhered the hnb to the ribbon first then to the fabric face down. So I'm ironing on the ribbon side. I will try your suggestions and see how I make out! Thanks for the help ladies!!!
