Default I need help with my bows

For some reason I can't get my bows to look like the one's on the hip girls instructions.....mine always end up with 2 loops and tails on the bottom.. which I ended up making on accident and I like them, but I want to be making the style like in the HG instructions - I like those better. Can anyone help? I don't know how to add my pictures onto here, but if anyone wants to take a look at my shop you can see my bows there and what I am talking about Etsy :: roseyposeybowtique :: May S&H SALE: Spend $20 or more and shipping is FREE!

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks!

looks like you are doing a "tails down" type of bow. It's been awhile since I've looked at the Hip Girl Insructions, but I'm thinking when you bring the last end looped around, that you need to angle it the opposite way. I have no idea how to explain it, sorry. I'm probably no help. Just ignore me! LOL!

You just need to make them "stand out" some more. Do you spray yours? After you make the bow, pull on it and shape it. Then seperate the loops and stuff the inside of the loop with paper towels balled up. This makes them fluff up some. Then spray it and let it sit for awhile. It will make it look fuller. They just look flat, bit not bad! hth!

I use starch and aussie hairspray. Spray the starch first, let dry, then the aussie. It smells good and makes it stiff!

I use 'Stiffen Stuff" diluted with about 30% water.

are you trying to do another kind of bow? you can try the butterfly cheat, that is really easy to do, or the pinwheel one, and it will put the tails in different positions. I made a cardboard template like the one Michelle made for the tiny baby bow, just bigger. that is really easy to use.

definately spray, a lot! you can make it really full.
