Default Larger bows

I have a question for those of you who make the larger bows. I'm talking about using 2inch+ ribbon for boutique style bows. I can make bows with the 1.5 inch ribbon and i do use my BBM for the boutique style but the 2 inch+ wont fit in it and the BBM template that she just made to handle it is sold out.

These large bows are very popular here.

Here is an example:

I was thinking figure 8, but they have tails. I'd really like to try without having to buy another BBM template, although, i will if i have to b/c i know they would sell. I'd just like to get started now. I do have a gator bite to help with creasing. Its pretty basic, nothing over the top but like i said they are very popular here (S.W. Louisiana).

Any advice/tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Brandi

I have made the bigger bows just using both the Twisted tutorial and figure 8 method. It works just fine *Never used a template

I just spread the loops out a little more because the ribbon is larger.
These are the size I usually monogram on the tails.

That is all very helpful and while we are sort of on that subject, my dilemma is always what style of bow to use and when to use it. My problem is that when I look at finished bows I can not figure out what style of bow it is Any suggestions?
Thanks, Janice

No figure 8 here. I dont like using that technique. I just use the traditional way in both the boutique and twisted styles.
