It looks like it could be a wood paper towel holder with a roll of paper towels covered with fabric and embellishments

That's what I was going to say! Or it could be coffee cans with batting and fabric!

i have seen tutorials for something similar where you cover an empty oatmeal canister. That decorations make that stand out--very cute!

I have these for my craft shows. I have made mine out of pvc pipe, 3 or 4 inch, sorry, cannot remember but I think it was the 3 inch. For a 10 ft pipe it was something like $12, I had the guy at homedepot cut it down to 18 inch sections for me, covered it with batting and then fabric. It was a 20 min project.

i've seen the oatmeal container tuts but..wasn't sure if it would be sturdy enough to ship. so i wondered what she used. i may start with the oatmeal container first to see if i can even do something half decent with them lol i do like the little thing on top, no idea why haha, i thought maybe it was a kitchen canister.. KWIM? like something you would put pasta in & keep on a kitchen counter? do they make plastic ones? haha

I have one out of PVC pipe too but I didn't cover mine. I leave it open and stick one end of the headband in the hole so that the decoration (if there is one) is hanging over the edge. I thought i would paint it and mount it on a plywood base for stability. I am going to get some more at different heights and I think it will look great. I'll send pics when I get around to taking pictures of my setup.
