IMO single works best for me, The double prong would get tangled in my dd hair, so I quickly learned not to use them again. HTH!!

I think its all just a matter of preference, no clear cut winner, but I like doubles

Double.. to me they hold a tiny bit better & I like the way 3/8" ribbon fits them.

Definately not a clear cut winner one this. We do sell about 75/25, singles to double, between the two.

I prefer double because 3/8 ribbon lines them perfectly.

I like both. The only thing with the DP is I wish they would make the top part solid w/o prongs.

Have you ever tried the DP with the bridge accross the prongs? I have seen them from suppliers, but never ordered them because I havent seen many ladies offering them or asking for them.

Yes..I have seen those and used them too. They are pretty nice. I know we can get allis real cheap but I think I would rather pay a little more for stainless steel ones because their spring action is very durable. I can only find them like that in single prongs.
