I trim just a square around the flower and then I put them on felt circles.
I start with glue in the middle and then tuck the mesh under the felt as I glue the edges. Does that make sense at all? lol

That lighter idea is brilliant!!! I actually find cutting it isn't so bad. I just hold it up again the scissors and than pull it around pushing the fabric into the scissors. That probably doesn't make sense but it really doesn't take long.
