Default question about yards for tulle off the bolt

I can't find the colors I need of tulle by the roll so I need to buy and cut off the bolt. So... to make a basic knot tie tutu using 2 strips of tulle for each knot, how many yards do I need for a newborn and for a 1 yr old? TIA!

I use about 4 yards of the 54" tulle for the little ones.

really depends on how full and long you plan to make them.

How many yards would you use off a roll?

For newborns, I only use like 2 1/2 -3 yards, so that they aren't too full. For a one year old, close to 4.

For newborns, I make it like 6" by cutting in half (from 54" to 27") then in half again, to 13.5". With a 3/4" waist, this is perfect. For 1 yr old, I'd probably go with 8-9".

I only use bolt tulle, I've never used rolls. God luck!
