Default Help with my bows!

Can anyone help me? I am making my boutique bows and they just keep turning out flat and kind of long (if that makes sense) I like how the boutique bows look more square but can't figure out how to do it. What could I be doing wrong? Pics attached so you can see what I mean! Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much in advance!

What method are you using? Honestly I didn't get the twisted until I bought the BBB and it was worth every penny!

ok, i think i know what your talking about, now this is going to be hard for me to explain but you might get what im trying to say, for example that first picture, take your index finger and middle finger on your left hand and put them in the hoops (the bottom of the hoops not the top, and take your right hand and do the same with the top of the hoops on the other side of the bow, and pulland then that will expand your hoops and make them more "square" looking and then just shape from there, lay flat and starch and starch, and starch some more lol that should do the trick let me know if that works

Ok, so this might be really stupid, but how do you starch bows? Is there a spray I can buy?

You can make your own templetes if you don't want/cannot afford to purchase some right now. make them out of cardboard. I use the thick covers from my spiral notebooks. try watching this off of youtube.

I use regular spray starch. There is also stiffen stuff you can buy at craft stores. Its kinda pricey though.
