Default Re: How do you attach a flower to stretch lace?

I attatched 2 chiffon flowers with the felt backs like suggested and it worked great BUT I didn't take into consideration how stretchy the lace was and there is a bigger space between the flowers than I expected when it is on my daughter. This was my first time using the lace bands. How do you ladies compensate for the stretch so the flowers are touching but not smooshed?

Sorry if this is a dumb ?, I'm new to making hair things and totally self taught!

I would suggest gluing your flowers on to a strip of felt or fleece first (fleece is softer) and then glue the stretch headband on. Cover the back with felt or fleece and call it gorgeous! If you glue the flowers to felt/ fleece you won't have a problem with there being stretch between your flowers.

I dont attach my flowers to anything before attaching them to the headband, i just like to make sure i use one big piece to cover the back of what i have attached to headband rather than lots of little pieces of felt for each flower. If its all on one piece it wont move.

Thank you ladies! It sounds like it would help make them nice and sturdy too. I'm going to try that as soon as my new headbands arrive!

I like to sew them down as it's softer. However, I do use glue and agree with the felt circle on the back.
