Default HOw to attach bows to lace headband....can't figure it out!

I have been trying to figure out the best way to attach bows to a headband (a lacey one, skinny one and elastic....not the hard plastic kind) and I can't seem to get my bows to stay on. I have no idea how to get the bows to attach without it looking ugly.....any suggestions? I had read a thread about felt circles, but I don't quite understand that....anyone explain. I have attached a link to a picture of what I am trying to do....

Hmmm, not sure with little bows like that but if you're using a bow or flower that's wider than the elastic/lace, whatever, here's what you do:

Sandwich the headband inbetween a felt circle and the flower. That stabilizes the bow or flower and makes it look nice on the underneath where the ends of the elastic are attached. Does that make sense?

I would think a little bit of hot glue would hold that on just fine.

i attach my bow to head bands by first i make the bow but i dont put the ribbon around the middle. i attach the bow however i feel like i either glue or i sew it to the head band then i take my 3/8 ribbon that im going to use for the middle and glue one end to the back of the headband then i wrap that around the bow and the head band i glue it like i would to a clip or barrette. does that make sense??

I like to glue or sew both top and bottom of a small strip of ribbon vertically across the headband. I don't go all the way to the edges but make the opening wide enough to slip a clip in. Then I put my flower or bow on a clip and slide it in. They lay flat and you can't see the ribbon strip underneath if you match the headband color.

This allows the flower or bow to be changed out for another color.

There are many ways to do this.

1. You can glue your flower to the headband and then glue a felt circle over the headband and flower (like a sandwhich).

2. Sometimes ppl will glue a felt circle to the back of the circle and then do the step above.

3. Another way would be to sew the bottom layer of your flower to the headband. Optional if you want to use felt to cover the thread from the sewing.

4. On plastic headbands you can cut slats in the felt and slide 3/8 or 5/8 ribbon through there and glue it like you do on bows. 5/8" gives it a better hold. Then proceed to step 1.

You have to ask yourself how much time you are willing to spend on these and how much you intend on selling them for.
