Default BC Images...they have me in tears!

Ok. So I thought I knew what I was doing. I have read tutorial after tutorial on this. I use GIMP and make my circle image at 300 pixels each. Was told that would make my 1" BC image. So I made a whole bunch. I printed them out and they are NOT 1". What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me?

I bought a template I think MunchkinBaby on here and i LOVE it. Saved me SO much time. I kept printing mine out too big or too small. HTH

When you first start GIMP and you click "file" then "new," the "Create New Immage" box opens. Click to open the advance options and set the X and Y resolution to 300 pixels/inch. Then you can set the file width and height to whatever you like (I usually use 4x6 inches for printing at Walmart). Clear as mud?

That's what I have done, but for some reason they are printing out just a tad too small. I'm not sure what I did wrong. So I used my open office one and they come out fine. Only thing I don't like about my open office is, I haven't figured out how to put them on a 4x6 sheet. I can make my designs in Gimp then copy them over to Open Office and they print the perfect size.

Well that's a head scratcher. I make my circles slightly larger than an inch just to give me some wiggle room, but, I have no idea what could be making the GIMP images too small, when they turn out just right in Open Office. Sorry.

I bought some from etsy and when I printed them at home, the borders were throwing me. I had to set my printer to "borderless", otherwise they were a tad smaller than on inch. When I got the settings right, they were the right size.
