Default Felt Clippies

Ok, I have finally started making the felt designs on my embroidery machine and they are so cute but when I went to put them on clicks I got stumped.
Do you make them right sided, left sided, or both. What is the most common way?

Also when you sell these I would assume you sell them individually, but do you ever sell them in pairs?

If making a matching pair I do both. But if I'm making for individual clip, I always do it for the right side. The only reason I can figure out why is that's the side my dd's hair goes to.
