Question Polymer Clay Centers

Hi. I am relatively new, and was wondering if anyone knew how to make the clay polymer centers for hair bows or know someone that makes them. I don't know what is all involved in making these, but have seen some and they are so adorable.

Thanks,
Mary Anne

I make them, it is a really fun craft. You can make anything you can imagine with it. You can start out using just the clay and your hands to try it out and see if you like doing it, then add to your supplies as you continue. I made the strawberry shortcake in my picture by hand. Some people use a convection oven to bake them but I like using my big oven (I make alot at a time), and I like cooking them on cardboard sheets. Hope this helps. If you decide to try your hand at it, feel free to pm me if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help.

I have seen some on other threads and love the way they look. I was just wondering how much weight it adds to bows. Would they be heavy for an infant or are they pretty light in weight? I was just wondering because I have seen other items that were made of clay and were pretty heavy.

They are very light and should not add much weight at all..no more than a bottlecap. E6000 or high temp glue gun keeps them in place just fine.

I've worked with clay since 06' and I do not recommend you using your oven that you use to bake your food. Clay releases fumes. I have a small oven for curing clay. HTH
