Default Do you make or buy flowers?

I just started to make some fabric flowers for hair clips, etc. Just starting out and wondering - do you buy wholesale fabric flowers/rosettes and use those to make your hair accessories, or do you make everything from scratch? It takes me a while to make them since I have just started, and wondering how people can charge the low prices that they charge. I have seen some flowers that are clearly purchased and adhered on a headband - so wondering if that is the norm/more profitable way to make floral hair accessories.

If you do buy your fabric flowers, can you share where you purchase them from?

Thank you for your help!!

I am new to this forum, so forgive me if posting in the wrong place!

I do a combination.. but to be honest.. if I truly calculated all my time and paid myself say $10/hour I would have to raise my prices by about double but for me this is something to keep me busy and it more than pays for itself.

I do both also, rolled/folded rosettes I now make on my own since I've gotten pretty good at it and it doesn't take much time.

I do both. Some people like the silk flowers and others like the handmade ones with fabric.

Both for me as well. If you have time why not making them yourself, that's what I did at the beginning. Now I am just too busy, but I certainly miss making them myself. As for where there's always buys in here for these flowerr.

Both, I make sume by hand, and others I get through Group Buys. If you're looking to start buying some, the GB section is a great place to start!

I buy and make my flowers. I check out places like hobby lobby, group buys here (got fantastic daisies in a gb here!) and I am really wanting to order from artistic ribbon. I also make singed flowers and rolled roses myself, and plan to learn other styles as well once things calm down here a bit and I have time.

At first making them can be a bit time consuming, but as you make more you get a lot faster.

Thank you all so much for your responses!
I have a two year old that consumes much of my time, so many nights I try to work at this in the wee hours of the morning. I think I will likely do both as well.

Thanks again!!
