Default I feel so committed...

when I make rolled rose headbands on elastic or FOE!!!!! What size do you make them in general? I feel like if I make them a certain size, someone will invariable want the same roses in a different size band and I am stuck! Grrr.... I want to make them all on a clip on an adjustable headband! I can't get over this!
What size should I make my FOE??? What is your "go to" size???

Some foe is definately more stretchy than others but I'd say 15" fits a very wide variety of ages. Especially if it easily stretches to 17-18".

chippychick......you should be able to use that many petals on an FOE HB. Just glue some felt to cover the back side of the flower and then glue the foe on the felt and cover it with another piece of felt. Hope that helps. I make big silk and fabric flowers and they hold well on FOE. ON the bitty bands I have to make them a little smaller but they hold up pretty good with med sized flowers.

I cut mine at 16.5" and then sew then fuse the ends with a wood burner. I used to sew mine but then I tried using a high temp glue gun to secure it and it worked nicely. I had dd pull on it the next day and she had a hard time peeling it apart. All she did was stretch the FOE because she used her feet and her hands to pull them apart.

Ronnie - so 16.5 would not fit toddler size at all, co you basically advertise them for older girls? And you do not sew the ends or you do? I was a little confused upon reading your response.

I hold both ends of mine together and press them against the woodburner side to seal them. then really quick before it cools smoosh it together with my fingers. I haven't been able to pull one apart yet. Then I glue a loop of foe around the seam if it is for a clippie attachment. If not I attach the rolled rosettes with glue, then on the back side glue a felt circle. As to length I usually do 15.5-16 inches.
