keep the satin! maybe you can use it to make a bow holder to hold all the bows you are going to make! don't give up, this is fun!

There are a ton of great instructions on bows here. If you go into this thread I have listed a bunch of great places to check out for instructions and tutorials.

http://hipgirlclips.com/forums/how-m...bies-here.html

Here is the basic bow tut I am talking about that everyone should master first before venturing out. Once you have that mastered then the rest should come easy to you.

The only thing different in those instructions is I would use a wood burner to seal my ribbon ends instead of using Fray Check. Fray Check stains and doesn't work very well.
Ronnie once again thanks soooo much I truely appreciate it all of your help. i really didnt know there was a difference between brands. thanks for letting me know. i have a walmart and a joann near so ill look for it there

I think grosgrain is definately easier to work with...I also saw that you were new and I wanted to suggest bow making templates to you as well there is a boow making tool called the brilliant bow maker that I used as sort of "training wheels" to my basic bows. I am left handed and it was absolutely horrible trying to figure out how to do certain folds (such as the twisted boutique bow) I freehand fold my bows now but every once in a while I whip out my templates because I love them . Good luck in your bow making adventures, just be patient and don't get discouraged it takes a lot of practice! and I agree keep your satin ribbon! You will use it eventually!
