I would have never thought about using hairspray, glad I came across this!

Do you bake them, and use the hairspray? The hairspray doesn't effect the color of the ribbon? This sounds easy enough, but just want to make sure.

Oaky, so there's no residue or "coating" (flakiness, color change?) from the hairspray? Does it also work on korkers? If so, I just might ditch the expensive stuff.

I never had any issues with Hairspray. No residue or color changes. I just don't feel that even after baking the bows hold as well after a few wears.

I use Faultless Starch (lavender scented) that I get at WM for $.97 a can. It keeps them shaped without getting rock hard or "crunchy". I don't bake mine either.

Question: I don't mean to be a naysayer, but isn't hairspray dangerous if a child places the bow in their mouth? Perhaps I am not aware of the alcohol dissipating or something but it seems like a safety/ liability risk.

Default How much spray?

How much spray do you generally spra on each bow? How do you know when it's too much?

Also, I am doing my first craft fair in two months, how much product do you recommend having on hand? How many different variations of bows? Any other tricks and advice are welcome! Thanks :-)
