I just recently started using the tying method (I use dental floss) BUT because I am terrified they make 'fall' apart I also add a stitch & wrap a couple of times.

I love crocheting thread too. I sew pinwheel bows but tie twisted ones. To get the nice crease I weave a needle through the center and then tie. It comes out perfect like that.

I use small zip ties, never had a problem with them falling apart. I also get perfect creases.

I don't have a HL or Michael's here. I've heard WM carries it but mine doesn't LOL. I get mine from a hole in the wall craft store.

Is there a particular brand of crochet thread that you all use?
