Default For those of you making top hats

Are you putting felt to cover up the bottom or just leaving it open and gluing the foe across? I've done it both ways, but can't decide what I like best. Felt is nice, but its hard to get it measured just right so it covers but not showing by the brim.

I've asked this in another thread, but is there anywhere to get the hats other than a group buy?

I cut out some felt and then glue it to the bottom of the hat. Then glue my FOE HB and cover it with another cut felt circle.
