Default How do you center a hole in a bottle cap back?

I'm punching a hole through the back of my bottle caps, but none of the holes are anywhere near centered.

How the heck do you find the middle? I'm using a Crop-A-Dile Big Bite, if it makes a difference.

I don't have a clue what a crop-adile is but what I use to punch holes is a regular hole punch from hobby lobby- the smallest size available, and had my dh rip the springy part off so that the bottlecap would fit. It works for me until I decide I am good enough at bottlecaps to spring for the actual puncher.

Hmmm... thanks! Maybe it's my technique.

I punch mine at an angle. I've never tried using my cropadile though... going in at an angle might not work with it. If I can find where mine is, I'll try.

I use the jewelry grade puncher and it works great.

Thanks for all the advice! My husband rolled his eyes when I described the problem ("You're trying to do... what?"), but he had some more ideas in addition to these. I'll try anything! Heck, I'm not proud.
