Default Feather Shoe clip....

Ladies - I could use your help here...my good friend's sister is asking for my help with this - she posted this picture on her FB page and I commented about how much I like the button. She asked me a sincere question if I could help her - "Jen, since you work with clips, can I ask you a question? I used a earring clip to hold this on, but it wasn't tight enough around the shoe. Do you know where i can order different types of clips to try out to see what would work? Or maybe suggest one that would work?.. I'm looking for something removable, I want to be able to make a clip and add it to any shoe. Something that won't damage the shoes and will be sturdy so it won't come loose and fall off."

Can anyone lead me in the right direction with this - I do not work with anything like this. Would really love some opinions. Thanks Girls!

I'm sure you could, but I am not sure how sturdy they would be or it they would shift.

The first thing I thought of were the earring clips that are for girls without pierced ears. The clasp would use the tension between the clip and shoe to hold it in place. Just an opinion, though; it's not something I've tried myself. Good luck!

I used an earring clip to make a pair for a friend for her wedding. I turned the clip upside down so that the underside of the clip that would be resting on her foot was the round circular piece, which would really be the front if used for an earring, and the backside with the flange spring section that has a narrow square edge was the top of the clip, where I put the flower on. I was afraid the narrow square edge would cause discomfort to the foot if I used the earring clip face up. I was also able to sew it for extra security that way. If you google shoe clips there are several sites that sell unadorned shoe clips. They are quite inexpensive and if I do any more I would order those, I was just asked to do this pair at the last minute and couldn't find them in the stores. Perhaps a shoe repair shop might sell them, if you can find such a shop anymore.
You could also use a piece of grip type medium that everyone uses on the inside of their hair bows so they do not slide out of the hair for security on the shoe clip and to prevent it from marking the shoe.

I sell the most awsome shoe clips on my site, http://thebuckleboutique.com/Blank-S...-Hardware.aspx I have priced them very competatively.

My selection is probably the broadest available. I have large blank ones, ones with felt and with leatherette.

I really recommend going with the larger ones. I just think they are better.

Don't forget I offer hipgirls a 12% discount, coupon code: hipgirl12

Thanks! Cathie

I agree with you! Your clips are the best that I have seen online, including the price. Actually, I was going to order from you but I only made one pair and in a hurry, so I just bought a pair of earring clips, but if I do any more shoe clips, I will be purchasing my clips from your site.
