Default Singed flowers- how many layers?

For those of you who make singed flowers, how many layers do you usually use? I am just starting to make these and have tried both 5 and 6 layers. They look a little sparce to me. I was thinking of trying 7 or 8, but that seemed like a lot.

Thanks for any insight.

I use 10 for most but make 6 layer ones that I put with my rosette headbands.

I just counted the ones on the flower in my profile picture. The large flower is 2.5 inches and has 8 layers. The middle one is 2 inches and has 5 layers. The smallest one is 1 inch and has 4 layers. My advise is wing it. I always make several layers and mix and match until it looks the way I want.

This is mine, but I am new at this. Mine doesn't look near as good as some of the others on here.

Here are pics of some of mine...not all of them are finished...a few are waiting for centers etc. These are all 4" or so across...The finished pink one has 8 layers, the yellow one has 7 layers of satin and 3 layers of organza and the blue and green one has alternating satin and sparkly fabric and is 9 layers. Be sure to share some pictures of yours. I love to see what other people are doing.
