Default How do you attach your bottlecap centers?

I have lots of regular bottle caps that I want to use but I feel like they are not very securely attached to the bow center. I use loc-tite and hot glue and they still move a little if I give a good pull they come off. How can I get them to stick on there better. I read where some ppl put 2 small holes in the cap and sew it on before sticking on design/logo. I also read about mounting tabs. I looked at Hobby Lobby online but could'nt find anything that sounded like it would work. If you have any input it would be greatly appreciated.

Is your design on top or inside the cap?

If design is on top, I make sure the rubber center is removed then I hot glue or use e6000 and glue my ribbon down the center then I take a button and glue that on top, let it set then wrap around my bow as I would if I was just using ribbon. I put glue on center of bow and bottle cap to secure it.

If design is on the inside, then I'm no help cause I don't do mine that way.

I glue a 1 inch felt pad (that is supposed to go on the bottom of furniture legs) inside my cap with e6000. e6000. after curing for 24 hours, I use hot glue to attach to my bow. does that make sense?

Sorry I dont know how to Quote. But thank you so much this sounds like it will work much better than just filling the cap with buttons till its flat then gluing that to the center! I am ready to go try it now... too bad I gotta wait till the little one goes down tonight!

Saw the "quote" button. That sounds like what I had read I will have to look for some of those felt pads next time I am in town. Thank you so much!
