Default problems with chain necklaces

I bought some ball chain necklaces off of etsy---not sterling silver--but the cheap ones for bc.

I had some necklaces on a stand at my hair dressers and I had covered the charms with a plastic bag--the part of the necklace left out is now gold looking---any suggestions how to clean these up??

I guess it is due to the hair product....

thanks!

I had a friend who did jewelry for a hair place, she had to go in and clean them about every 3 days b.c of the chemicals. I think the best way to do it is to get some bags and fit the necklace on an index card or something like that

I use a tiny hole punch to make two holes at the top of my card (I print out on photo paper my biz name etc and use that) and then I cut from the top to the hole a slit and slide the necklaces in there

This happened to me on some that I left out hanging on my lamp on my desk. Now I make sure and put them away out of the light... I haven't figured out how to clean them yet.

I do sell a polish cloth that would help: http://www.beadcreationsinternationa...lt.asp?One=556

I know it works great on sterling silver which is only what we sell.

Yeah I totally agree to find a bag to fit the entire necklace in.
