Default What to make with thick satin?

I recently ordered some satin in hopes to make some singed flowers. I ordered the satin online (bad idea) and when it arrived it was just way too thick to singe. When I tried it the fabric just did move. Any ideas of what kind of flower I could make with it? I attached a couple pictures to give you an idea of how thick it.

Thank you for looking!

I would try rolled rosettes.

Try singing the edges with a woodburner...

You could try melting it with an embossing gun... it has a different effect than candle singing and I have used it on thicker satins. Mine weren't that thick though! What's the fabric content? Does it melt at all?

Wow that does look rather thick. I think rolled roses it would work well on, be solid and stable. I do like your first flower though, maybe add in some tulle or something to soften up the thick satin?

It melts but it doesn't have any shape to it. It was just listed as a Poly Satin.

It's weird but I have it so I don't want it to just sit in a box. I haven't been able to do rolled roses yet but I'll try it. I also like the first flower so maybe I will try it with some tulle. Thanks!

i like your sample, maybe you can fray the edges instead? maybe it uber shabby? take a stitch ripper and gently fray it
