Default tu-tu help

I am working on making tons of tutus I hand knot mine.. for a huge show but I always have one big problem..Once I get them finished there are a few times when the pieces will not be sticking straight out and it drives me nuts..All i have to do is run my fingers through them after that and it sticks back out but it drives me nuts is there a way to stiffen the pieces-without making it super hard..my mom said I should try fabric stiffener but anyone else have any ideas or use any other methods..

I have fits with mine too, transporting them to shows and they get bunchy...cant stand it but also don't believe it can be avoided. I've made some super fulls, some not so fulls and they all get bunchy at some point.

I think only the sewn (ie not strips) won't do that. Its just the nature of a hand tied... Think someone asked the same question the other day and I don't recall them saying starch worked.

What about a cheap hairspray like aqua net? It would eventually wear out but I would think it would add some body for a while?

I asked a similar question the other day about how to stiffen a tutu. I sew mine and find that after you fluff it up some of the layers will fall back together and lay flat and I can only imagine what will happen when transporting them to the markets or what not. Check out the thread titled "Can You Stiffen A Tutu".
