Default Partially lined clip vs fully lined

Is there a rule of thumb when you would use a partially lined clip vs fully lined?

Or a reason why a partially lined clip is better than a fully lined one?

I partially line mine. My customers don't like the fully lined because they are hard to put on top of pig tails. They don't slide in as easily. I do fully line my itty bitty (1 1/4") clips. Usually those aren't going on top of pig tails.

I partially line mine because it is easier to slide into hair that are already tied up, and I find that they stay in loose hair better than the fully lined ones. But I had a customer give me a neutral feedback cos she said the prongs are exposed and are sharp for her baby.

Fully lined look nicer but partially lined are much more user friendly so I go for the userfriendly option

I partially line. Much easier to put in pigtails. I think all in all as it has been stated before more of a personal preferance (sp?)

I agree it's a preference. I fully line mine because I put them on my dd who is 16months and started when she was only a couple months old and didn't want the prong poking her through headbands.

I agree it's personal preference. I use to fully line mine, but customers liked partially lined better, so I quit doing fully lined clips

I started out fully lining, people complained they were too hard to slide in hair, so now I partially line.....but if a customer asks I will fully line for them
