Default Please help ladies, bow troubles

Hi everyone. I have a boutique and have been making childrens clothing for a while. I decided to start making bows but have been having some trouble getting them to look right. Please take a look and tell me what I am doing wrong. One is a loopy bow and the other is a basic bow.

Clueless on loopy bows, but as for the second bow, your ends should go the opposite way, since the bottom one is down, the top one should be up.

There are some absolutely wonderful tutorials on here, do a search and you will find more instructions than you have time!

Have fun, very addicting here, so many new things to try!

I dont make loopy bows so I can not help much on that. I think the loopy looks good.

The second is good also aside from what the previous poster said. (i agree) I would also try using a different color center. I will have to look at your pic again but i recall the center being the same ribbon as the bow. try using a solid color ribbon for the center. Google "girly things" that has a lot of instructions on there. HTH

I like the knot being the same color...idk jmo....Agreed with your other posts, pull you loops up and seperate them on the 2nd bow. http://www.girlythingsbows.com I think that's that you're wanting her to Google right? hth

Ok, I am by no means an expert on this and I don't do loopy bows. Your pinwheel bow should have the tails split up/down. I found mine got much better when I experiments with ribbon lengths, really got good creases in the center, found the right material to secure the center, and got the center pinched tight. I think the center drives the bow mostly.

Thanks, but I wasn't trying to make a pinwheel. I wanted the tails at the bottom, or maybe hidden. I wanted it to look like this:

I have made that one as well and those always turn out, but I haven't figured out how to get the loops to lay flat. Could I put 2 tuxedo bows together and tie?
