Default Dog Bows for head or collar.

How do I make these bows? Is their a special clip to use for a collar or to attach to the dog's head. I have a request for it but I don't know where to start. I want to ensure I make a dog friendly bow.
Thanks in advance!

Are you making these to sell to dog owners or the groomers? Owners want lcips usually french because the dog cannot shake them off or scratch them off. For groomers you are going to want to get grooming elastic band sto sew onto. They are really tiny.

As a groomer I buy bows for my clients with a special elastic that breaks after about 24 hours...that way the owner does not leave the bow in the hair and return 4 weeks later with a giant matt and a bow in the center of it.

I just had a show and sold some clips to fig owners for my first time ever. They all bought ones on s small alligator clip. The most popular ones were 2 inch flowers and 2-3 inch bows. Good luck with your order!

The ones I make for my own dog are on elastic because it stays in for so long. I never looked at it from a groomers view LOL now I know why they cringe when I say please put a bow in her ears!!!!

Most people use those dental rubberbands.

I have a yorkie and the bows I make for her I prefer the latex free bands, they stay in better than the barrettes..in my option. I buy them here http://ffpc.com/store/page2.html I don't use grooming type bows in her hair..and I take the bows out at night. I attached a few bows I made. HTH

Aw... Thanks! They call them dog show bows, they make some really fancy ones for show dogs. I don't usually make her bows that fancy because she is not show dog. They are pretty easy to make. I might make a little tut some day to share with you ladies.
