Default wrap a headband

I know this subject has been touhed on B4 but I wondering if I could get some help? I want to do just a basic wrap around a headband however everytime I try, I have 2 issues. One is that the ribbon puckers as I wrap the other issue is the end. I know someone said put a peice of ribbon on the ends first then wrap but when I did that, as I wraped, it still got messy. I tried different wraps at the end but now the 2 ends are just thick and junky looking. Maybe I sould not be doing in front of the TV or at work?
