Default Headband/ tutu question

I was searching through something on the internet in regards to making tutu dress and tutus. I cam across this step by step tutu. But I I was wondering if anyone else has every used the ouchless headband bought at walmart or target for waist band. Below is the link. If you have does it hold up pretty well and does it stretch?

I've used them and they work pretty well. They do stretch if you put a lot of tulle on them. I prefer using a crocheted head band just because I like the way they look.

When I first started making them I used them but I think the crocheted is easier and looks much nicer. I found that if I wasnt careful the band twisted and made for a not so nice tutu.

Great question and replies, I am getting ready to try making one. Is there a tutorial using the headband?

The crochet headbands work great, and they fit pretty much NB-2T and up if its a skinnier girl

my friend makes tutu dresses out of those headbands, the only thing is if it is a bigger kid and u use it as a top it stretches too much and shows too much. i make 2 piece tutu dresses i make the tutu out of elastic and make a matching tube top and sew ribbon on the neck to use as a haltler.
