Default How to make large flowers smaller?

Hi all

I have a customer who wants this headband of mine:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/67791756...or-infants-and

But about 25% smaller - how to I remove the layers of petals without ruining the flower? Or does anyone have this flower smaller?

You special order them from china LOL!

Or I would prob go with cutting. Like keep the first several layers and it looks like you can downsize by removing one layer from the back and cutting just three layers or so. It's a lot of sitting and cutting and more sitting but it can be done.. maybe
But remind her that there's no discount for a smaller flower haha! Not with all that work!

I normally just remove the bottom couple of layers to get it to the size that they want.

Right, but do I cut the little green stem that holds it together and glue the hell out of it or just trim back the petals?

And I'm laughing so hard about the China joke!!!

I remove or cut the green stem and then hot glue the layers back together and you'd never notice a difference.
