Default Borax in Liquid Starch

I bought some liquid starch from walmart and dilluted it with some water and it worked great on my bows but then I read the ingredients and it has borax in it. Researched Borax and it says even though it is natural it is still calssified as a poison and should be kept away from children and pregnant women, as it may cause reproductive defects. That freaked me out. Now Im gonna try the homemade starch using pototoe starch since my DD is under two and likes to take her bows off and chew on them. Just thought that I would put that out there.
