Default Your expert advice needed.

I'm making a special order of hair accessories for baby shower. The mother to be will have a larger piece and I'm trying to figure out what kind of clip to use to make sure it stays on the head. The layout of hair piece I'm working on is similar to these :

What kind of clip should I use?

I can't use headband, which would be the easiest. I tried alligator clip and it doesn't hold. Plus, it doesn't lay flat. Should I try a comb? Or is there something else I can use to clip similar piece to the hair?

Thanks.

What type of comb should I consider? Metal or plastic?

I would also consider a snap clip. That is what I use on my fasinators that are not put on a headband. it sits flat to the head and holds well.
