Default Single or Double Prong Clips

I've never used double prong alligator clips... what are the advantages/disadvantages of them over regular alligator clips?

I prefer the double prong....no reason why LOL...I just like the way they look better. I used the single prong EXCLUSIVELY for about a year and then was sent some double's by accident and have never gone back!!!

I don't use double prong unless requested. They do hold as well as ally's to me.

I use both, but love the double. They hold my daughter's thicker hair I usually use the single when I'm making a smaller clip.
I think it's just a matter of preference!

Since I get mine at sally's. I use whatever is tightest. Sometimes the singles are, sometimes the doubles are!

Athough I am VERY new to this, I have found it easier to use a single pronged alli if I am planning on attaching it to a headband. One of my GD has super thick long hair and the other thin and flyaway. The double prong seem to hold in both girls' hair better than the single prong. But when I put bows on bands, it seems the single prong slide in easier. IMHO
