Default Cabochon rings...

first question....how do you attach your flower to your base? I am using these bases...

Do you just use E6000?

Secondly...if I decided to start making these what materials do I use? Just resin and dye? I like the soft matte look, is there something you add to resin to do that?

I would just use e6000 to attach it.

I sure wish someone would do a buy for those rings!!!! Love those!

I've just made a few for fun, but I used E600 to attach my cabochon to the ring base and then I used a clothespin to keep it together with some pressure until its cured.

Thanks! I'll try the E6000. I'm a little leery of it bc I had some flip flops recently come apart, but then again they were plastic.

I have some of those rings in antique bronze and rose resins, I just used hot glue, I think it stays really well, I wore one all day today. But I am doing an order of 8 yellow rose rings for a bridal party, so I am nervous, but i am going to keep wearing my hot glued on ring and see how it holds up. I do not love group buys at all, but several people have asked me to do a resin and ring one...I don't know. maybe.

Those are really pretty. Has anyone ever tried putting a mini fabric flower on one? I've really been thinking about doing that lately but wasn't sure if it'd work.

Yea I'm the same way about the buys. I'm making 12 for a colorguard team, if they stay together I'll probably just add them to the list of stuff I do already and wholesale them.

Megan had a bunch of cabochons that she was selling, I'm pretty sure she still has some. Member: meganskiddos
