Default A view of my firsts please be kind

OK I finally worked up my nerve. I have attached (I hope) a few pics of my first attempts at head bands, loopy bows and little things. I would appreciate any help you can give my on these as I know there are MANY ways to improve.

I like the red and black headband, it reminds me of Mickey or Minnie mouse.

Very cute! I agree that the red/black headband reminds me of Mickey Mouse. Just a helpful hint for doing woven headbands, the tighter you hold the ribbon the fewer spaces you'll get in your weave. My fingers always cramp when I'm done.

Your loopy bows are cute too! If you want them to look fuller, try pushing the loops closer together when you're wiring/tying them down so you can get as many loops on there as possible or try adding more ribbons in other textures. It looks really cute to mix satin, grosgrain, sheers, etc.

Well done!

Thanks to all. The red and black headband was made for my grand daughter. Her school colors are red and black. I actually enjoy doing the head bands more than the bows, but they do take more time.

You will get faster. I remember they took FOREVER when I first started. Now I will prep a bunch of them to do in the car when I know we'll be on the road.

Our school colors are red and black as well, so I do a lot with those colors!
