ITs just fabric, you can use scrap fabric or the quarters they have for .99 I think, whatever type you want. Joann's should have tons!!

I have heard that some people use a rivet gun to attach them to the snap clip too...

Hi.
For the snap clip, there is buttons with out wire, and many others more, check Buttons to cover in Fabric for crafts, upholstery and sewing
