That's what I use and they are awesome. I usually get 10 for a $1 at Dollar General.

I use 1" wooden disks that I get at HL for a lot cheaper than the felt circles for the bottom of chair legs

here is an online source where you get 100 for $4.50

I use craft foam. I use two circles glued together with hot glue and then glue those inside the bottle cap. Nice and lightweight!

I use hot glue for mine, have never had a problem and I even washed one of DDs one time by accident. Still perfect.

I stay away from super glue. Actually, my husband band me from ever using it after I glued a clay penguin to my finger......

I'm glad I saw this link because I'm trying to figure out how to fix a problem.... I've been doing bottlecap bows for a few years with no problems. Until recently! I always just hot glue the caps onto the bows. They've stayed fine. But now I've had 3 customers tell me the caps came off in the mail I'm thinking maybe a batch of hot glue sticks I bought were not good quality..... but I want to fix this!

What is this E6000 stuff that people mentioned? Where do you buy it?

I like the idea of using hot glue first, then ripping it off and using something else stronger. And I agree, super glue may or may not be the best idea....

Suggestions??

I was having a hard time with mine coming off with just hot glue. I bought the foam circles from HG and they are so great and are pretty inexpensive. I put that inside the cap then hot glue to the bow. I haven't had another issue with them coming off.

Using the hot glue and the E600 is a great tip! I hate how toppers slide around with just that slimy stuff alone! I never would have used it for caps, so thanks

I do this as well, but I use E6000 to bond it to the bow if I am not in a rush. If I need a quick bond, I use this product http://www.michaels.com/QuickGrip-Al...ueandadhesives
it's like superglue but thicker, I also use it to bond bows to flip flops (put E6000 in middle and this on the sides so the bow doesn't have to be clipped on for the E6000 to set). Hope that makes sense...
