Default Tutu waistband help..

I bought some crocheted headband (material, ribbon!?) not sure what it's called. It came on a spool bty at HL. I don't need to subtract any inches from that to make a tutu do I?

If you're using a ribbon then you measure it to the waist size you want (ex. 20" waist = 20" ribbon plus extra for bow)

If you're using elastic I usually cut it 2.5-3" shorter than what I want (ex. 20" waist = 17" elastic) because as you put the tulle on it stretches the elastic.
