Which version of Word do you have? Or are you even using word?

If so when you go to save your document, you should be given several choices and it should allow you to save it as a .pdf, which in turn will create your PDF document. If not, do a search for free PDF programs.

Does anyone know how I can make a .PDF editable? I want to create a document that once I send it to my sponsors candidates so that they can enter in their own info and print to use at their presentations but for the LIFE of me I can not figure it out.

So you are wanting what you wrote to stay the same but want them to be able to input data in certain fields?

I haven't seen ant free programs do this. I have Adobe 10 and it allows me do edit PDFs. But the Adobe 10 has a price tag on it. Nitro was mentioned and they have a PRO version, that may do what you need, but of course you have to pay for it. If you can't find a free program to help you edit your PDFs, I would make sure to keep the original doc you used to create you PDF and edit there as needed, then create a new PDF and discard the old on.

Try this:
http://danilop.wordpress.com/2008/07...th-openoffice/
You will need to download openoffice...
the only other way is with adobe pro, which is expensive

Depending on what you are trying to do, you can also make a "form" in Word...it's not that hard. you can add the fields where you want to allow changes, and lock the rest.
